ReachTruth.com is an online mentoring program created by Portland Fellowship, an Exodus Member Ministry. Thousands of people struggle with unwanted same-sex attractions and are looking for support that leads them to a life that pleases the Lord and leads them into victory. ReachTruth.com provides a curriculum that utilizes the power of a mentoring relationship. Participants are asked to approach someone such as a parent, a relative, a pastor, a counselor, or a friend of the family to partner with them as they walk through the material.
There are 20 destinations in this journey. Now, when you walk through a lesson (or destination), you will write reflections online to the questions asked. You will also have the chance to watch videos that highlight the destination.
After you complete your destination, an email will go to your mentor letting him/her know that they can now view what you wrote and then THEY will get a chance to respond to what you shared. When they are finished, you will receive an email that lets you know they are done. At that time, you will reflect on their comments and then begin the next destination. If you want to dialogue about their comments, you can do so through a private “Message Wall” found inside the program (or in person if able).
Below is an outline of the ReachTruth curriculum:
Week 1 – God’s Plan

Week 6 – Fathers
Of all the people you have known in life, one of the most influential is your father. How has your dad influenced your life?
Week 7 – Family
We can’t choose the family into which we are born. Yet families shape who we are and how we relate to others. Let’s take a closer look.
Week 8 – Abuse and Neglect
Wounds take on different forms: verbal, physical, and sexual, as well as neglect. Let’s look at life beyond those wounds.
Week 9 – Forgiveness
When someone has wronged us, it’s a natural feeling to want to get back at them. Yet God has something else in mind.
Week 10 – Temptation
Everyone of us struggles with temptation. The wonderful thing is that God offers a way out every time.
Week 11 – Support System
We’re not meant to deal with life’s problems alone, even though we try. To walk in victory, we need supportive people around us.
Week 12 – Boundaries
Boundaries are important. They help us know where we end and another person begins. Knowing and living with boundaries will give us freedom.
Week 13 – Defensiveness
Sometimes we keep people at a safe distance. Because we’ve been hurt, we don’t let them in. How will God restore this?
Week 14 – Getting too Close
When we overly depend on others we set them up to be like gods in our lives. How do we have deep friendship, yet keep it healthy?
Week 15 – Bad Habits
